Sony will give reward of 50,000$ to hack PS4 | Theopgaming

Sony has announced a Playstation Bug Bounty Program for gamer and anyone else to check the security of playstation4 and PlayStation Network (PSN). First time Sony is going public for bug bounty . so they can improve their security.

As we all know Sony is huge company and soon going to launch Playstation 5 . Security plays a major role here , Sony doesn't want any bugs or lack of security in consoles and  their devices so they have launch bug bounty program publicly , So they can make ps consoles safe to play.

The company tied up with HackerOne for the program and looking bug reports for PS4 ,PSN ,OS accessories . The rewards are divided into four groups Critical, high severity, medium severity and low severity . consoles like ps2 and ps3 are not part of bug bounty program .

Finding bugs in PlayStation4 will make you eligible for reward as   follows

Critical Bug in PlayStation4 : Reward of $50,000  (roughly Rs 38 lakh)
High Severity in PlayStation4 : Reward of $10,000  (roughly Rs 7.5 lakh)
Medium Severity in PlayStation4 :Reward of $2500  (roughly Rs 2 lakh)
Low Severity in PlayStation4 :Reward of $500   (roughly Rs  38,000) .
